Nhìn chéo nhìn ngang nghĩ ngược nghĩ xuôi
Người dân nhìn ra rạch ròi
Nòi Cộng hiểm ác hơn nòi Tây xưa.

after the French colonists were defeated in Indochina:
"Thằng Tây thua, thằng Cộng được /
Nghĩ xuôi nghĩ ngược Cộng ác hơn Tây," or
"The French bastards lost, the Communist bastards won /
Ponder back and forth, the Communists are far more cruel.")
The French lost, Commies won
Think off and on all perspectives
People are positive
Commies to French, mischievous more.
